some of you are aware of the "Mission" myself and another local wolfdog rescue person, Dave Nunely, who is on the board of directors at Lost Wolf Sanctuary, one of the sanctuaries my organization supports ( http://www.woldogrescue.info) ..this mission ...was to shut down Black Wolf Rescue here in triangle va. the guy running it is a crook a liar, a shiester, you name it. he breeds his rescues and sells them for profit. he's adding to the over all problem in rescue, and he treated his animals like crap. i had him banned from several PetCo's where he would show up and try and sell puppies of wolf content to people who had no idea what they would get into....(these animals would have ended up in rescue.... unless he took, them back..and he charged 1500.00 to do that..can you believe that?) he attended county fairs.... he set up "shows" at Retirement Homes, to solicit money for his rescue...bringing with him very low content wolfdogs...and telling people they were wolves...........only he could pet and manage them..because he was "gifted"......

had mary not been with me on one occassion, i would be in jail for assult right now.... you see... a year or so ago...bob threatened to poison our animals if i didnt "back off"..........

well........i ran into him at Pets Mart in Stafford............ mary said my face turned a reddish black color..and my eyes started glowing... and i started walking straight towards him...fists clenched... she thought i was going to kill him... he ran to the back of the store and yelled "somebody call the police"........
well i already had a sheriffs report on him about the threat to the animals....... mary calmed me down and we left...... PetsMart banned him after finding out the story.... anyway..

enjoy........ i am. if i had more leave, i'd take tomorrow off and sit the court room and smirk at him..........

I think it's great what you do for the wolves. My cousin is involved in a similar thing up here in CT. She's been working with our local college and also with a wolf preserve.

What a scumbag. I wish he could receive poetic justice.....throw his dumb @ss in a cage too small, make him live in his own feces and urine, take him out only to beat him senselessly. I honestly cannot stand people like that.....it just disgusts me. I hope this jerk gets prosecuted to the fullest and never comes in contact with any animal again.

Glad to hear that you aren't in jail though Ken. I could only imagine how much you wanted to kick the cr@p outta this guy, especially after threatening you and your wolf dogs like that.

Don't want to hijack now, but it's for the good of the animals
I myself am apart of ATRA (Airedale Terrier Rescue Association), and in the past years, my family and I have adopted a couple airedales, and have found homes for others. Joan (the woman who runs it) called my house yesterday, and informed us that there are a couple more guys they rescued that need a home. The newest guy is named Harley, and is located in Illinois. He's a good guy, and if anyone is interested in him or any other airedale, please pm me or reply. Also, ATRA is a midwest organization, and due to various laws, they are able to be involved with 15 different states as well as Ontario, Canada.

I read the the article and this guy really is a scumbag based on some of his past offenses. But the sad part about all of this is the guy probably won't serve much time (if any at all) and will probably be back in business again sometime in the future with another scam.

Maybe I just have a unique perspective on things, but in my eyes any man who can bring himself to bring harm or even put an animal in the possible position of being harmed is a worthless pos scumbag. People that have no respect for animals are almost worse in my book than those who have no respect for humans. Even if he did not directly harm those animals, he still used them to simply fatten his wallet at their expense.

From what I understand about wolfdogs it would seem that they would be 100 times more sensitive to being put out or basically abused, based on their unique intelligence. It's a damn shame, but sometimes you just have to play the rogue vigilante role.

What will happen to the animals? This guy better stick to trying to hurt things that hurt back... Much as I despise folks that take on animals that they cannot care for, intentional mistreatment holds a special place in my heart... I hope he gets what he deserves, and the dogs get a good home. Would be nice to get some good news in the paper instead of all the bad news that's fit to print. Keep up the good work man.
