so..i ran and errand tonight....

uncovered the gto, drove to CVS. parked waaaaaaaaaaay away.

went in, got da stuff.....came out..some guy and his girlie friend were walking towards cvs, noticed a blue mazda that said "ms6 S" (that red thing the ricers put on thier rides) on the back..... nice polished coffee can sitting under the bumper......

i heard him say "i think they have a 6 in them".....

well..i said nothing and kept walking, by then, it was obvious i was headed for the lower 40 where the goat was... the guy said "excuse me sir (i hate that, makes me feel old)....doe's that gto have a 6 or an 8?". I smiled and said "a 6 liter.". he said......."is that an 8?"......


whats that say about a lot of these young kids?........

i said "yes, an 8 with 400hp and 395lb's of torque"..........

he froze. i kept walking..........and smiling of course........

drove home and covered her up. rains comming. time to eat and get some sleep for big thursday at work.....

i dont get it though. when i was his age, i read my butt off at the magazine stand..didnt have the money to buy the mags...soaked up everything... could tell you about every make, model, hp, torque, you name it.......

if you are a car dude....be one......

these kids today, slappin stickers and f@#t cans on the exhaust and giant tach on the dash....then driving around acting like they are billy the kid..... unreal.

So you HAVE been out here lately lol . I hear ya on that. Even though I may not like Ford or rice rockets, I at least make it a point to know what they have and what they are capable of. For, to defeat one's enemy, one must know their enemy. Only then will victory come, grasshopper.

welcome to my skool. everyday i put up wit that. then the ricers joke bout my car cuz its a v8. it goes something like this "chevy big block 350 port polish cam" it just makes me madd that they have no clue bout motors yet they put a coffee can on there wit some gutter tubing. it just said.

I've got some friends that are the same way. A friend just bought an 04' Hyundai Tiburon and the first thing he did was go out and get a huge exhaust. It sounds like a ticked off bumble bee in a tin can. I finally got the chance to race him at the track and shut him up right quick. Hes looking at a Cobra now. Not an F-Body, but its a start.
