Thanks for the install page for the the window track. I fixed mine the other day using your thread and it was very helpful. The upsetting thing is that when I got the door panel off i found that my rear stabilizer had broken off and taken a small piece of fiberglass with it. So i ignored the fibergalss that would be a problem later and began to get to work on getting the window out. I must say that you were right when you said it was a PITA to get those rivet heads off. The only thing that I found different from your info in the thread was that I was able to get everything done w/out taking off the motor. Well once i had everything put back together except the stabilizer I just fabricated a small bracket to bridge the gap of missing fierglass and riveted it in place then mounted the stabilizer to it. Well after it was all said and done everything worked great and didn't even need to be aligned . Just wanted to give ya credit where credit wuz do

    ***Edit***

Did you regrease your window tracks before reassembling? I noticed that they were greased from the factory so i thoroughly cleaned off the old stuff (was scared it had metal shavings from taking out rivets) and regreased em before reinstalling.

I did the exact same thing. Metal shavings from the rivets was in the grease so I removed it all and replaced it with lots of fresh white lithium grease.

I'm glad my posts were able to help!!

Have you ever seen THIS video showing the movement of the window mechanism? I made it after doing the job to help people understand the way it all moves.

      I've also got this picture:

Yeah that video answered a lot of questions of how that mechanism worked. Once again thanks for the help.
