This is no joke:
One of our "fellow Govt. Agencies", Agricultural Research Servie (ARS), has developed technology to process chicken feathers into a light plastic substance simular to fiberglass. They claim its durable enough to replace existing heavier materials in the production of automobiles and light trucks.
ARS said there is also interest in using the process to convert poultry eathers to weave seat covers for cars. It's a non petroleum based fiber that is unlimited in fiber length and diameter...........
What a "pluckin good idea" , eh?!!!!
Maybe EPA will follow up next and make chickens a designated item under RCRA..... that way, the sucess flag can be waved more often........
Happy friday........
(RCRA = Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, as in "recycling"..)
