tire size

Its gettin close to summer so I'm thinkin its time to get some chrome rims. I'm looking at some chrome z06 18x10.5 in the back and 17x9.5 in the front. I might do 18's all the way around. My question is how wide of tires do I need.

***From what i've seen 9.5 will fit 275 so I assume 10.5 will fit like 315
I think thats huge. I really dont wanna delete this post so i will change my question. The new question is..... Would it look tacky to have like 315's on my Z.

Well, those are Z06 rims and the factory tires are 295/35-18 and 265/40-17s.

There are an awful lot of us (myself included) running the 275 front, 315 rear tire setup on 4th Gens, so I hope it doesn't look "tacky". Most are running the 17x9.5" 275/40-17 fronts and 17x11" 315/35-17 rear combo. The 315's may require some mods to fit. There are also people running 315's on all 4 corners, mostly auto-x and road race types. I've even seen people use 335's in the back.

With the 18x10.5's in the back, you could run a 315/30-18 or a 295/35-18 tire. If you think 315's look tacky, go with the 295. You will have to get the correct offset on the wheels to avoid rubbing and other interference problems.

To get the 18's to fit I need wheel spacers and a hammer to tap on the fenderwells a bit, correct?
