Dumb Question

I searched the forums for an answer, but couldn't find one. I'm sure this is a common question anyway...

I'm looking for a front plate filler (the factory front plate cover with the bird) for a 2002 T/A. I was told to go to a Pontiac dealer, so I did. They told me that piece can no longer be ordered. I would need to buy the entire front fascia. I then called a second dealer who said almost the identical thing. Checked Ebay, and lost a bid for the only one listed, which sold for $80.00. I also went to GMpartsdirect.com and couldn't find a part # for it.

Anyone know where I can find this thing? Thanks for the help in advance.

www.afterthoughtsauto.com has clear ones so that you can run a front plate - if you do not need a front plate you could always paint it. What color is your car I need to get a clear one (I do not need another reason to be pulled over now ) so I might be willing to part with mine.

Thanks, Casey. I'm still interested even if your cover is silver. I can have it painted pretty easily. Let me know what you decide.

UPDATE - Found one on Ebay BRAND NEW.

This guy is selling a few of them still wrapped in the original GM packaging and painted by the factory. I got it for just over $50.00, whereas everyone else on Ebay is selling them for around $75.00 used.
