Nevermind impalement, what about someone accidentally leaning on one, or stumbling into one in a grocery store parking lot. I would imagine, that since it carries hot exhaust gases, that those pipes can get pretty toasty. Sounds like a lawsuit to happen...

LOL, well i lived in Japan for 3 years, and rest assured that those "things" are not driving around on the street. After the first JCI (Japanese compulsory Inspection) sort of like a state vehicle inspection but they fix everything to factory and you get to pay for it , through the nose. That should make me feel better but i know it would be legal on Louisiana streets and thats the scary part.
