  • The fedex man was here.... New Toys!!!!

    Well,

Been for my package and today it showed up. Delteq full kit with sweet custom wires. 9mm red with a braided red jacket to protect them from heat. Supposed to be good to 500deg contact and 1200deg radiant heat. Jim over at Eliteparkplugs.com hooked me up. This is a really nice kit, with factory quality harness and components. I will post pics and such as I get the parts installed. I can't wait, no more opti-crap and I get a killer looking wire setup that should keep the wires from roasting on my headers. Got the OTVC looms from Thunder coming to hang them with.

Man, I love new parts, like a kid at Christmas!!!!

Is this the kit coming out I've been reading about that completely removes the opti or does this still use the optical sensors?

The kit still uses the opitcal part of the opti-spark. Maldo tells me that they are still working on the complete replacement, and they have made some progress, but it's still a ways out. Optical section of the opti-spark is really reliable, and has been proven to be a good piece once you remove the high voltage section.

            Opti spark

Had trouble with my Opti Spark. Went to the trouble to change the Cap & Rotor on my 95 as I was advised, and had to do it all over again as it was the Opti that was bad. Symtoms were good running up to 3500-4000 then complete break up.
