Prior to Fleet, I ran the Federal Tire Qualification Testing Program for 13 years. That took me out in the "regions". Spent a couple of years in Seattle and quite a few years in Ft. Worth, TX. Politics got involved because of recycling and they transfered the program back here in 1990. Then, gsa cancelled all those type of programs to downsize and be more like the "public sector" and force the Federal Govt. into being less 'picky' about what they buy with the tax dollar.......... which many of think was a stupid mistake.
