  • Buick GNX to return?

There's rumors going around some other boards claiming GM is bringing back the GNX, and it looks like a few people have been having fun with photoshop trying to come up with what it will look like. Some supposed info is out there too claiming it will have a twin turbo 3.6L V6 and run high 12's. See the link at bottom for that info. I can't see GM, in the situation it's in, giving Buick a car like this, but it could be just what GM needs to get excitement in it's products again.

I'll believe this when I see it.

Buick is way more likely to get the axe before it gets anything else...

It's probably another contest, just like the 5th generation retro Camaro pics that seem to resurface every year with some noob thinking it's for real...

All that aside... IF this car is produced, it is WWWAAAAYYYY at the top of my list to bring some fun back to the garage.

Even if everything under the skin were a complete carry-over from the GTO, It stands out enough to probably push me over the edge into getting one. If it were brought to production with awd and a turbo, sign me up. Even if just rear wheel drive, sign me up. Doubtful that it will happen, but it would be nice to see.

I know this particular photo is just a chop of the GTO, but there are rumors going around that GM plans to bring back the GNX... just not necessarily looking like this or with the described specs. I do like both though.... especially the black rims, they're nice. Gives it that extra mean look that it probably couldn't pull off without them.

That's what I like about it. It looks nasty and still retains some of the characteristics of the original GNX.

I too like both the GTO and this version of the GNX although if you were to put them in a side by side comparison, I would probably choose the GNX...(No offense Wolfman... )

GM probably would have done a lot better if they released the Monaro as a Grand National or Grand Prix or another name all together.

Anyhow, the buzz before Zeta was canned, the Grand National "may" come back with the new GTO, Chevelle, etc. Well, we all know that story. If the Monaro sold, then we may have seen something like this Grand National. However, the Monaro is a flop and its time is short. I doubt they will waste anymore money on this car.
