  • N2O timing issues....

had some problems on the dyno with the spray, was cutting up pretty bad, never did it on the street, air fuel was in the 10.5-1 area the whole run...

timing was retarded 9 deg, im thinking i may need to pull another 2 deg.

My best N/A pull to date was 416rwhp / 405 rwtq with a 10 bolt, 3:42 gears and aluminum driveshaft

yesterday it pulled 400 rwhp 390 rwtq through a 12 bolt, 4:10 gears and a spohn Steel 3" Nitrous driveshaft with 1350 yokes...

    not too terrible i guess

with the NX 200 shot 550 rwhp / 650 rwtq cutting up on the dyno..

only 150 rwhp gain out of a 200 hp shot NX....? probubly because of the stumbling problem....

we had 3 people sitting on the back of the car with the hatch open, because it hazed the tires the first pass......lol

how much timing does everyone pull out, on their TNT and NX kits?

I am retarding 9 deg from 34 deg total timing, i think i will pull an additional 2 deg and see if that helps...

10.5 to 1 sounds rich to me, I thought you need to be more like 11.5 to 1 on LT1's with spray. I put 100 to the wheels on a 125 shot on my 6 speed car, so your numbers aren't that far off. I think if you lean it out a little that will give you the numbers you are looking for. Also, you may be so rich that the engine is stumbling because of all the excess fuel.

Knock can be caused by both excessively lean and excessively rich mixture. I agree with the a/f ratio being rich. I would SLOWLY raise and check the results. I used to pull out 10º, so 9 would not be far off.
