  • Aprox. horsepower?

I live in BFE New mexico, which is probably closer to hell than it is to a dyno, track, or water for that matter. So I was wondering if I listed what I've done to my car if you gentlemen could take a shot in the dark as to the horsepower my car may be producing. From what I've read a stock L98 has 245HP and 340ft/lbs of torque. My engine has:

    Been bored 40 over
    headers
    3 inch exaust/ flowmaster muffler
    no cats or smog
K&N airfilter, no screen in Mas airflow sensor
removed coolant hose from the throttle body
    heads have been milled.
1999 Ram Air Trans Am. M6

SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

I used to own an L98 car, and its been a while since ive been into them, but I think your a little high on the stock numbers......the L98 was rated at 225 or 235 (at most) and I dont know about torque, but I cant see 340 ft/lbs.....

My car had a cam and a little head work and with a 150 shot of nitrous, I was only trapping about 108-109 mph.......

The big hang up on the L98's is the intake runners. They are great for low end torque, but really dont make any power past 5000 RPM. Youve increased the exhaust flow, but to really make power, youve got to open up the intake side on the TPI's . I bet youve added 20 or 30 HP though, but the track is really the "tell all"........

I looked it up again and you were correct about the HP 235.
Engine: 350ci (5.7L), 9.3:1 Compression, Tuned Port Injected,
      HP: 235@4400 RPM, TQ: 340@3200

I bought a new plenum and runners that I'm having ported out as well as a 58mm throttle body. that should help some more.

              Its a 1989 formula 350. I'm thinking that it had 235 instead of 245.

My car beats my friends LT1 (AT) by about a car and a half from a role. They have about 275HP correct?

If you give me all specs I can run it through my engine program and give you Crank and wheel power. Need cam specs and comprestion mostly, as I have the L98 already made including TPI intake and all that

Cam and everything is stock, the only differences are the things I listed above and I'm assuming the compression is a bit higher due to the heads being milled.
