  • NFB: Heading to Florida!

The land of hurricanes, alligators, and Joe 1320. We're leaving tonight to make the trip overnight. Heading to Orlando to see Disney World, Sea World, Discovery Cove, and Kennedy Space Center. We'll be within a few miles of Wolfman's house when we're passing through VA... I'll be on the lookout for a GTO with an AARP bumper sticker! This is the first time we'll have made the trip by car... we're figuring about 15 hrs of driving

I drive down every year from Connecticut. It takes a solid 22 hours, but we go to Siesta Key, which is an hour south of Tampa. Are you taking 95 most of the way down?

It took us 14 hrs to the minute! According to the Buick's trip computer, we averaged 77.3 mph, including fuel stops, etc. There were a lot of stints at 90-95 mph tucked in behind a Mustang or rice boy. I don't think South Carolina saw anything below 90! Looking forward to a great week... weather's supposed to be nice.

                See ya

                      Florida

Boy a lot of the folks on this site are from Florida. We should get together at the track some time, and have at it. I live near Tampa Florida, yeah the city of the traffic jam, but there are several tracks nearby. Any takers?????
