haha, it was late at night(dark). Bottom line. your s/c lt1 will own any stock or slightly modded lt1 or ls1. must be nice

          ?????

Why are you folks doubting this. If the modifications listed are true this car should murder any stock, and most modified LS 1's. Go to the drag strip some time, and you will see that our LT & LS cars are snails next a good drag car. My all out drag car would have beat my modified LT-1 so badly you wouldn't think they were in the same race.

no1 doubts it, it just the fact why was he in 5th gear at 100? i dont own a LT1 and a 6spd so im not sure if that is normal. all i got is a 305 tbi and 5spd that hits the limitor at 115

My car has 3:73's and I running out of fourth at 125.....but if he was spinning through 3rd, and he was short shifting it to gain traction, then it is possible he could be in fifth (maybe). On street tires, I can usually get mine to hook in second if I short shift it. Just feather it out in first to get it rolling and short shift it into second and im gone!

Yeah, short-shifting to get traction seems like a possibility... but still, he said he hooked up in 4th.

Street racing "kill stories" are always a huge waste of time.... did the other guy know he was racing? Were you both rolling at the same speed when you hit it? Did you both hit it at the same time? Did somebody back off? Did the other guy have the slightest idea what he was doing?

Then you have the obvious.... with 7.5# of boost, you should be making at least 425-450 (flywheel)HP. Why would it surprise you to be able to pull 6 cars on a bolt-on WS6, either LT1 or LS1?

Then there's the inconsistancies.... the WS6 badge isn't "gold", not sure what year it was, thought a 97 had an LS1. And the "5th gear at 100mph" makes no sense at all.... my gear caluclator shows 3,667rpm in 5th gear with a T56, 3.73 gears and street tires. A more likely scenario would have been shifting to 4th at 90mph. That would be good for 115mph without a shift.... no need to shift to 5th.

When you post stuff like this, you have to expect skeptical responses.

Honestly, I noticed it... but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that there is no way he would possibly do something that silly.

No kidding... seriously street racing is dangerous enough with out booze! Even if it looks safe, there will almost always be a car turning out from somewhere. They see lights half a mile away and pull out...at 100+ it doesn't take long to catch up...Sorry paxton350, I don't mean to jump on the band wagon to get on you bout this but...man
