  • Stuff to look for after a spinout

If you haven't read how this happened, go here first...

With that said, what should I look for in the aftermath? I didn't feel and feedback from the wheel nor hear any thumping from possible flat-spotting. Any ideas of things I should look for? Any common problems after this kind of situation (besides soiled boxers lol )?

As long as you did not hit anything and given the fact that you slid on a wet surface, your car should basically be unscathed. You would definitely feel a vibration at highway speeds if you flatspotted the tires.

Might want to just double check to make sure all of your sway bar end links survived from any possible stress.

Thanks Kev . What about the ball joints? I did drive last night and I could swear, as I made a left-hand turn, I heard a subtlye pop and felt the car dip toward the pass. side. It was pretty late though, so I might have imagined it lol . Or maybe I'm just paranoid lol. Either way, keep the feedback comin'

Unless you hooked a reflector or something similar with your tire, the ball joints should be OK, but it wouldn't hurt to pull the wheels and inspect them especially if you heard a "pop".

You might want to take it to an alignment shop and just have them make sure your camber/caster and toe are still good.

Yeah, I wanted to do a tire rotation and have a front end alignment done soon anyways, so I'll inspect what I can while doing the rotation. The "pop" could have also been due to the still-wet roads, possible one of the rears slipping momentarily I suppose. Thanks for the help man, I owe ya bigtime
