  • NFB: Most expensive Saturn

My girlfriends brother was having some trouble with his saturn sc1 four door, approx 90000 miles. He and his dad replaced a few minor parts and the car was almost as good as new. But now, the car seems to wait a second before it actually shift into gear. Its an auto. When you put it in drive or reverse it takes another 2-3 seconds to engage the gear. It also does not shift into over drive on the highway, it just redlines at 60 mph. They just dumped 1500 dollars into the thing and I though I could give some advice if any of you guys know this problem. Thanks alot

any ses lights? usually if that happens we replace the tranny(at my job) and that takes care of it, depending on whether there is a ses light or not, if not usually means the pump is dyin

Would the pump have to be replaced at the shop or is it a weekend job?

Thanks for all the help, I was also thinking the new/used tranny was the easiest way. Thanks again
