Pretty crazy stuff......at least they were on the highway for most of it. THey had scenes like that in Syracuse, NY, where I used to live before moving to Rochester. I used to go down to the Boulevard with my 88 Formula 350 and spray some nitrous around. Hundreds of cars, lining the parking lots and guys used to run light to light....0-60 mph sprints. The cops would leave us alone for the most part. It was actually a good group until the ricer thing took over. Acceleration isnt the thing in street racing anymore...its all about top speed now......stupid. So, these kids would go flying down the boulevard at 90 or 100 mph......so now the cops are out in full force on fridays and saturdays and for good reason. They ruined a fun time.
It gets going good again the weekend of the Syracuse Nationals though. Decent vid. Houston has the biggest street racing scene anywhere. It is awesome. They have big Hennessey Viper meets every now and then that draw huge crowds and lots of bad to the bone race cars.
It's only about a 1 1/2 hour drive from my house, so we caravan their every now and then.
The cool thing about the H-town cops is they really don't mess with the street racing as long as they don't get crazy with the speeds like N20LT4Bird said.
