  • cobra cleaned me!

LOL.... not the 4 wheeled kind....

this new microfiber is a detailers dream come true. awesome....just plain awesome. i tried some a while back on the Hawk.. and was amazed at the softness and the aborbability (is that a word?) when i removed a coat of zaino with it. no scratches what so ever... and that surprised me, for it has polyester in it... but it does not scratch.. not one hair line swirl...nada..nill.........

anyway.. i ordered this kit from Autogeeks.com It's called the "Cobra Microfiber Kit" (all micro fibers are not created equal, make sure if you get some polishing and drying towels that they are true microfiber and from a reptable auto detailing source...) The kit came with a free (12.95 value) bottle of special laundry soap to wash the microbfiber stuff with to insure its newness every time... "Pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator".

the kit came with two micro fiber gloves, these are awesome for getting into crevases and impressions when removing polish, and an interior duster..thats not wax treated yet pick up better than the cali duster!

What i really like about it is, it came with 4 polishing pads....these microfiber pads make applying Zaino sooooooooooo easy....in the proper thin layer that you are supposed to do....

It was my intention last night to just play around with the stuff on the hood and spoiler, but i ended up doing the top half of the whole car...in no time! in the sun.....and taking it off was soooooooooooooooo easy!!

Anyway...thought I would pass this on. No more gerber cloth diapers or cannon towels for me........ this stuff rocks!

Sounds like good stuff..... worth a try.

Have you tried washing the application pads yet? I never had good luck cleaning off the Zaino cotton-wrapped foam pads when I finished. Always seemed to leave a layer of Zaino on the pad, even after washing them with super hot water and soap.

Off topic but related, what do you do with your California duster when it gets loaded? Ever wash it? I run mine under the shop vac nozzle, but it still looks sort of black and dirty. Seems like washing it in the laundry would take the "sticky" off it.

Ken so you suggest this stuff over the traditional 100% cotton towels? I am nearing needing some new stuff plus I want to get a duster.

no, not yet, but the free Pen wash it came with is supposed to remove all residue.... on the bottle itself it states thats the trick it does vs. regular laundry detergent.... ill let yall know.
