  • Grrrr... Backorder....

I ordered my LM II at the beginning of last week but I got an email sunday that told me it is on backorder and that they will not recieve any until next week then they will ship it to me. I wish they would tell me this stuff before I buy from them. It almost makes me wanna cancel my order on priciple alone. Sheeesh... Sorry guys had to rant. I was hopin to have it installed this week so I could post a sound clip for those of you eager to hear the new "race muffler." Oh well looks like it will be a few weeks

Well I ordered it off Marylandspeed.com but only because it was the only site I could find that I could use my credit card on(the 3 digit protection code on the back was smudged and this site lets you give your address and other info as a replacement) and with shipping it was only $7-$10 more than LMPerformance which had the best price I have seen. To make things worse I got my brand new card in the mail yesterday . Well hopefully it will get here soon. I can't wait for that WOT

They said that it was on backorder from SLP. Apparently there was not enough of the systems produced for the enormous demand they have had. I only hope I can get it sometime this week so I can have it for the weekend. I still don't understand why they didn't say that the product was out of stock in its listing.

Won't do you any good. LM Performance also orders them from SLP when they get an order. Just wait it out, it'll come.

Don't mean to hijack. Actually staying on the subject anyway.

Is the LM II the best all around exhaust for an LS1 car? I wanted to get a new exhaust soon, and wasn't sure which is the best all around in sound and performance. Thanks.

So what is the difference between the "Loudmouth" and the LM II?

If you want to get a good exhaust for your LS1, I suggest you try and check out some sound clips first. Most people think that the LM sounds too raspy for an LS1, but I haven't heard too much what people think of the LM II.

I personally like borla and corsa on an LS1.....but that's just me.

I suggest getting some sound clips....make sure that when you actually spend that money, that you get exactly what you want

                      :EDIT:
I just did a quick search for you, and I came up with a couple links that have some sounds
                      http://www.ls1sounds.com/
                      http://www.geocities.com/camarosound...enexhaust.html
                      http://exhaustsoundclips.com/phpbb2/...gory&cat_id=31

Hope that helps you out. Keep in mind that any aftermarket exhaust will perform better than stock. I have heard many people say that flowmaster does not flow as good as other exhaust set ups. The performance differences between catbacks should be minimal though. If you really want power and sound....headers, headers, and...oh yeah HEADERS!!!

If memory serves me correct, the LM has a resonator where the LM II has a bullet muffler.

But we all know that the real loudmouth here is wolfman

Okay... Here's what LMPerformance says about the LM II: "Similar to original Loud Mouth, but with a throatier tone and reduced resonance."

It also had a sound chart, and showed the original Loud Mouth to be a bit louder at mid and high range tones. The LM has an open resonator, whereas the LM II has a muffled, bullet-type restrictive resonator, but gives it a throatier sound.

Basically, it all comes down to what type of sound you like best.
