Just stopped by Tirerack.com. There's an $88 rebate on Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires. I haven't seen much feedback on these, but I need to get tires soon. I may jump on this one myself. Rebate is on till 4 June.

I have a set of firehawks that has lasted me 40K miles. I've been very pleased with them as an everyday wet dry tire.... but I don't race! I'm in the market for some new tires and Ken C informed me that the Wide Ovals are the replacements for the Firehawks. I didn't see this rebate... but now that I did I'm going to have to jump on it! ! ! Thanks for the post.

I just put an order in. You have to select page for the tire. It says that the tires have to be ordered from in stock inventory. Also, it's mail-in and not an instant rebate.Joe K.

What is "Wide Oval"? I have Firehawk SZ50-ep tires on my car. I was under the impression they stopped making the Firehawk tire. What is going on? Is this "Wide Oval" a new design?Tracy
