  • Hal/QA1 rear shock with BMR springs?

i just installed their coil-over front system with springs, and their rear shock with BMR 1 in lowering springs. I have noticed a very bouncy ride in the rear now. The front is smoother and great performing, better then stock.

I was also reading about removing the upper spring perch in the rear and using rubber hose. I was just wondering what keeps the spring centered when removing the perch?
    I LOVE COBRA'S -
    THEY TASTE LIKE CHICKEN!

Sounds VERY familiar. I installed the QA1/HAL shocks with the Eibach Pro-Kit. The back end of the car rode like a slammed S-10 pickup..... a very choppy, jerky up-an-down motion. I wouldn't object to a "harsh" or a "firm" ride, but this wan't harsh, it was just annoying.

I tried adjusting the QA1's and the "chop" would disappear if you loosened the shocks up, but then they were too loose. No adjustment helped.

I eventually realized you don't want to lower a 1/4-mile car, and switched to the Eibach Drag Launch springs in the back, and the QA1/HAL springs in the front.

I've heard of that as well. I guess I got lucky with my Intrax springs. No chop or bounce and that is with stock decarbons. I added airlift bags for a little extra control on a launch. I know two people that ditched their BMR springs for something different. I like the rest of BMR's products but am a little skeptical of their springs.
