  • NFB-gas mileage jump

ever since i did my rear swap(the old 3.08 was nosiey and dropped in favor of a 20K mile 3.42 set up) i have gotten another 70mile to the tank. now im not sure if this is cuz of the gears or cuz the t/a is now my daily driver due to my beater being down cuz of a fuel pump(damn chrysler). i last went 210miles on 12 gallons. thats 17.5 miles compared to the normal 10 i was gettin. this is city driving only 2. and it envolves alot of stop and go traffic. point is, gears can help mpg. if u got a tbi motor lol

yeah, sometimes if you run gears that are too low you get worse gas millage. Only becase when they are too low it takes way too much to get the car going. I only learned this becase a friend of mine put 4.10's in his lifted truck from 3.42's And he got better millage because of how much it took to turn the huge tires he has.
