"New" as in right off the lot new .. no ... Now they got us smogging every two years. I am not sure if that applies to new cars that are out of state. I would guess since CA has pretty tough smog rules that any out of state car would have to comply and pass when it gets here.

It is a super easy process its just they get set in there and they are tough to get out. You WILL need the a crowfoot tool. Sears sells them and they are the only way you will get to them. I purchased the pack that comes with 10 different sizes since I always like to add to my tool collection. I shot tons of BP or DP Pentrating spray (thanks to the advice of a fellow board member) on the one on the drivers side. Seems that close quarter with the headers made that one especially diffiecult. The other one came out really easy.
I just jacked up the car and did it from down below. I used and old lead pipe for some leverage and I heard this big "crack." I thought my wratchet broke but it was the O2 backing out. Its about as hard as changing oil. Let me know if you need any more help or have any questions
