    Some guy I know *cough, cough* was attempting to show off the F-body just a bit at lunch today. A construction crew was at a stop light and were checking out his car and wanted him to "light them up". Light turns green, he rolls into the throttle to get it rolling then punches it.....car cuts out bad - develops a bad "miss". Oops....traction control is on. I'll bet that was humbling....glad it wasn't me

    I test drove a a 02 ss last summer. I took it out on a country road and gave it hell. I discovered that it ran like crap and wouldnt even bark a tire. The accelaration sucked and I was big time disappointed with overall performance.

    Then I found the traction control button
    1995 Z28 Convertible, 350ci LT1 73K miles M6.
    Dyno results: 301.5 RWHP 326.7 RWTQ
    Performance Mods 4.10 gears, AS&M CAI, MADZ28 tune, Borla catback, RK Sport mid-length headers, LT4 valve springs, CC pro mag 1.6 RR's, LT4 KM, MSD OVC wires, TB bypass, 160 t-stat, SLP clutch plate w/Kevlar dual friction disk, 52MM TB, TB air foil, 1LE aluminum driveshaft, ASP UD pulley, LS1 brakes w/ Hawk HPS pads, LCA's and PHB.

        God has a way of bring you back to Earth! I was enjoying the sun and the sound of my car just idling at the stop light - all was right with the world at that second. Stupid traction control

            Ive yet to turn TC off in the gto......maybe this weekend .....

              Be real carefull....was just reading an article about how squirelly the GTOs are with TC turned off.
