Hello, great forum and I'm glad to be a registered user. I have a 96 Camaro with the 3800 V6, Great car, no problems but I've noticed a lot of pinging lately. I tried higher octane fuel but still is a problem. Question, can the timing come out of adjustment on these engines and if so, can it be reset? I am also theorizing that the EGR valve could be a source for this problem. Thanks for any input,
