When i go to start my car it either takes a couple tries or i can get it on the first try if i pump the gas pedal. Can anyone tell me what the prob is, and if not what to check to see if i can find the prob?
thanks

I assume your taling about your 97? Pumping the gas shouldn't have an effect on the starting. There are several possibilities for the the hard starting. Is there a service engine light on? Could be ECT or other sensor giving false readings to the ECM. If theres no light on, I would get a fuel pressure on it when your cranking. If it is low, you are bleeding off fuel pressure somewhere - could be fuel pump or leaking injectors.
