Nitrous will work well with either a manual or automatic trans. The big question with the automatic is whether or not to spray through the shifts. I do, but my trans is built for it. Not sure how a stock 700R4 or 4L60e would hold up..... somebody that uses it with a stock tranny needs to answer.Fred

MasterC117, it would go a long way if you could let us know what kind of auto trans and how big of a shot you plan on using. "If" it is a stock 700R4 or 4L60/4L60E, it is not going to hold up long with the new found increase in torque load.
Most people run WOT switch of some sort so that the nitrous is only sprayed at WOT. So with an automatic and assuming your foot has the loud petal all the way down, the nitrous will continue to be sprayed in between the clutches being applied. So like Fred was aluding to, you may want to consider "upgrading" your stock trans if you already haven't to handle the juice.
