metal gear for pop up headlights !!!! ???

my brother has a 89 corvette and needs to replace the driver side gear. his headlight gear is stripped. i read that someone had bought a set of metal gears for TA's on this board. do they make them for a 89 corvette ?
were to look ?

I believe Mid America and Eckler's carry the vette gears.
