    OK here we go agian, Well the Cars back in the shop Because of the Tranny... Luckily its under waranty... Anyways they are havin trouble finding the problem so i figured i would post to see if you guys can shed some light. ive picked it up twice and taken it right back... I took it back after the Rebuild to have a cooler installed... Well they went ahead and rebuilt it because it was acting crazy... It drives great for about 30 mins then all of a sudden the Speedo Starts Going crazy when im at about 45 in 4th... $th starts slipping out and trying to Downshift to 3rd and back to 4th if i give it some gas it will go to 3rd.. after it does this it will not switch gears at all automatically... if i stop at a light when im in 3rd it stays in 3rd... i can manually shift it to 2nd. but if i throw it to 1st it still stays in 2nd.. it will not go into 4th (D) when it is in 4th its really in 3rd and if i let off the gas when i moving it acts like it is in neutral thw rpms drop to Idle speed... if i leave it in 3rd it will put a force on the motor and keep its RPMS,, they changed the silinoids but with no luck.. Im thinkin VSS..??? unsure.. Any help would be great.. Mind you this doesnt happen until the speedo goes Crazy at about 50 then it happens....

    I feel like i dont even own this car anymore.. it feels liek i go and borrow it for a few hours and take it right back

    No ideas man, sounds like it needs an exorcism though.

    SFC( not sure what kind), drilled/slotted rotors, K&N air filter, all free mods, 3" Borla cat back exaust, electric exaust cut out, NGK spark plugs, royal purple motor oil, and Zaino .Maybe more. I find more stuff done to it everytime I look at it.

      I dont know the answer, but Troubleshooting wise. I guess you would have to see what is in common between the speedo and the shifting. Where does the speedo get its electrical signal from or does it use a mechanical wire? What determines when the transmission shifts. Is it by RPM or is it by MPH.

        Ahh I just re read your post. I saw you mentioned the VSS. That would be a good start.

          Try scanning for codes....I'm not 100% sure but tranny codes may not set the SES light..
          95 Z28, A4, 3.23's and some other stuff....

              Im gonna Guess VSS... I was thinkin well ive had tranny trouble in the past but nothing that afected the Speedo.. So if it is affected the only thing that link the speedo to the tranny is the VSS... an i think that the shifts are controlled by the TPS but im not sure.... d@mn i hate Electronic Trannys.. i wish i had my 700r4 from my truck in here... it was great...

                The TPS plays a major role in the shifts, but so do many things on the L60E. If the speedo is out of wack, VSS would be my first place to look.....but you would think the tranny shop would know to do that as thats pretty basic.
