    Okay I rebuild my engine. I'm putting about 430 to whls. Still need the ECU flashed. Where should I go to get the ECU flashed? Any way the trans is slipping in 3rd. The trans was rebuild about 5 months ago. What could be the problem or how do I solve this problem?

    First, the type of vehicle would be helpful. Assuming its a 3rd or 4th gen f-body (because you have an ECU) and youre putting 430 to the wheels, than the tranny is going to need some serious upgrades.....slipping in 3rd will be the least of your problems. The problem could be caused by a few different things ranging from burnt clutches, leaking seals, line pressure issues, valve body problems, accumulator problems, a few electronic issues (if its a later model f-body). The 700r4's, 4l60's and 4l60e's have a weak set of 3-4 clutches, so even if they are new, it wouldnt be unusual to burn them almost immediately with that kind of power. If it has a cable adjusted throttle pressure (700R4, 4L60), the first thing I would do is check that....other than that, my advice would be to take it in a get it built by a professional who knows the ins and out of a performance tranny.
