    Now it's the stupid radiator!

    I just cannot win. If I didnt love the Camaro so much I would sell it's piece of crap low quality Chevy carcas. ugh.

    Well, it broke down now for the third time this spring. It only has 56K on it! First it was the water pump, then the spark plug wires and now the radiator.

    I dropped off Connor at daycare and noticed it was dripping. I open the hood and it completely soaks me with antifreeze. It was pee'ing out from a crack in the end cap on the passenger side hard enough to nail me when I openned the hood. Now not only do I have a newborn boy pee'ing on me, but also my friggin car. I picked up a new radiator on the way home ($180) and will install it tonight.

    Ugh!!!!!

    Dude, I think she's gettin' jealous...spending too much time with the newborn lol j/k

    At least it's a relatively easy fix though, right? I'd give ya a hand if I was there . Hopefully this will be the last thing. The Opti should be fine, right?

      sure, curse me further by mentioning the opti.


      But yes, the leak never got the opti wet, so I'm sure it is fine. The old radiator is out and we are going to dinner. I'll put the new one in when we get home.

          Oh man, Tracy, I think we're going through the same thing...well, yours is much worse, because I can at least drive my piece of low quality junk lol. I hope you get it fixed, soon. Hopefully, we both just put an end to problems!

            Ok, it's fixed now. I'm ready for the next disaster. Anyone care to place a wager on what it will be?

            It was fun to replace. I got it all back together and it leaked. The leak was on the drivers side dripping off the lower core support frame. I had the car jacked up at an angle and I discovered it was actually the steam hose from the heads leaking on the upper passenger side and running down along the core support to finally drip on the drivers side. I took the steam hose off, cut 1/2 " from it with a scisors and put it back on. The leak was gone now. I bled the air out of it and presto!

            There was a silver lining to this cloud.....

            I've never been able to plug in my low coolant sensor. It is a brand new sensor, but the light still came on constantly so I just left it unplugged. Just for grins I plugged it in when replacing the radiator and the light stays off now.

            So what will it be next? Alternator? starter? Opti? Fuel Pump? Why not just go all the way and throw a rod? Yeah, that would be fun to fix.

                I'm glad you got it fixed. My biggest fear for my next problem is a spun bearing Hopefully, of us will go through that.

                    How about 140k, fuel pump, tranny,opti,radiator anxiety, cometimes I cant sleep at night.
