  • oil pressure gauge fluctuating?

Don't know how to describe it other than when sitting at a stop light, my oil pressure gauge seems to fluctuate. Pressure is fine, but it is differnt from light to light? The engine also sounds like it is "reving-slowing", if that makes sense(?) Is this my timing? Should I just take her in, and let 'em check her out?

She's performing great, no lag, etc., but just concerned as she's new to me.

You mean your idle is not stable ? If your rpm moves up and down at idle that has nothing to do with your oil pressure. Of course when the engine idles higher oil pressure will build up. You should look for vacuum leaks or if you have added any mods lately your idle might have to be calibrated. Im no expert so im just puttin my 2c in

Is it brand new? Cause if it is, then the computer is just learning. And when it is trying to correct the idle, it takes a moment for the stepper motor in the IAC to adjust the amount of idle air when you come to a stop. Should smooth out after driving it a while. These cars also keep the closed throttle coast timing advanced under light load so that the brakes have lots of vacuum for stopping.
