That looks clean, how did you remove it for that clean look?

It was pretty simple. I took some fishing line and ran it back and forth behind the molding to free it from the 2 sided tape. Most of the tape came off with just my thumb - I took the rest off with WD40. The Trans Am logos were much more difficult - lots of elbow grease to get the glue off of the paint!

I did it about 2 years ago...by far one of my favorite mods to do. It just makes the car visually cleaner. I used the left over "trans am" as eye candy around the garage. LOL.

I think I am going to yank the moldings, but leave the TransAm emblems, specially since I got silver decals on them. I removed the bird from the front bumper & the bird & logo from the rear center section. I got so many dunces out there think it's a Camaro, I got to leave some kind of TransAm memorabilia on there to point to.

Have you seen the "buttons" that cover up the stock door handle locks? They can be painted to match the car, which gets rid of one more ugly blemish.

One of the owners of the CamaroZ28.com site sells them... I think they are called "SmoothLocks".

I thought about pulling the side moldings too but leaving the Trans Am logos and putting a silver decal over them.

The "Smooth Lock" idea isn't bad. I'll have to look over there for some pics.

I was thinking about pulling mine off as well. I already removed the TransAm door overlays, polished off the stuff on the rear lock panel and replaced it with a black nose emblem. I even removed the rear WS6 emblem, and most likely fill the pontiac lettering before having the bumper repainted. I kinda like it without any logo or brand advertising of any kind.
