  • NFB: herbie fully loaded movie

I know that this type of movie is for kids, and for "fun" but has anyone seen the previews? I could have sworn I saw it "taking on" a C5 and a GTO. And let me guess who wins What's with them picking on GM cars
I actually saw part of the filming of that movie. I was at the Nascar race in Fontana last year and watched it do some pace laps with the the actual Cup cars. At 55 mph pace, it was dying to keep up, screaming its poor guts. I found it hilarious.

I'm gonna go see it, but for two reasons. It has to do with Lindsey Lohan, and it can't be said on this board

Actually, I've loved Herbie since I was a little kid, and have a VW Beetle that is about to go in the garage for it's Herbie makeover. The difference will be that mine won't see a racetrack anytime in it's life. Kinda hard to run somebody with 16 subs in the back of it

LOL, yea, I know that's 1 reason many guys will see it
I did get to see her at the race with a "mock" introduction. We had to cheer as loud as we could, pretending she was a driver being introduced. She was so far away from the crowd, though.
During the filming, before the race, they had a 3rd gen Camaro taped up with dozens of cameras flying around the track. That thing was cooking Nice to see an f-bod around a circle track.

I never really did see the movies as a kid, so I guess the magic is lost for me I just wonder why they decided to choose GM cars to race...unless the preview is misleading.

Well, let's see, they have Hendrick guys in the previews, they have Herbie jumping over Tony Stewart, I'd take the bet on GM was probably sponsoring it to help sell more SUV's that get 1/10th the mileage of a Beetle
