Guys, I had posted in another thread about a clunk that developed after installing new lowering springs and shocks on my TA. Joe1320 recommended me to check the sway bar, which I did (it was fine), and I am now checking other possible solutions. Since the sound is coming from up top I decided to take out the shock again to see if it was maybe not mounted tightly enough to the upper shock support.
Since I have no recollection of the other side (which is perfectly quiet) I decided to have a local shop tighten it down with an air gun. When they did I noticed that the space between the top of the dust cover and the bottom of the shock support was gone. Is there supposed to be no gap like that, or should there be a gap? I will try to post a pic to see if anyone can tell me if it is normal or not. I'm actually hoping that there is supposed to be no gap that way I know that it was actually loose and that was causing the clunking noise.
Sorry for the ramble, it's tough to explain this stuff online sometimes.
