I just got an '01 ws6. I dont know if it has traction control or not. There is no on/off button for the TCS, but there is a light on the instrument pannel that sais "TCS Off". It will start to bake em' then just kinda bog down. Does it have TCS or is it just a dud? If so how can i fix it?

Look on the "build code tag" in the glove box, console or on the drivers door. If your car has traction control (called ASR = acceleration slip regulation in 2001), it will have RPO "NW9".Fred

Hey, i have a 99 TA with TCS. There is a little switch button on the console jsut past the shifter with a light, WHen u start the car, the light is on, but when you push it, the light turns off and a light comes on on your dash and reads "ASR off". Than your traction control is off. The button jsut reads TCS. I know that some models came without the TCS option but with your bogging issue it sounds like you have it, cause i tried to do a burnout with it on and same thing happened and i made a fool outta myself. Search for that little button. Its next to the cigarette lighter in the center. Sorry i suck at describing things but hope this helps.
