  • Zaino vs. D.A polisher

I went to SEMA last month and found a good deal on Meguiars D.A polisher and bunch other stuff.

I had in my mind the i needed to get rid of all the swirl marks on my car and nothing performs better then a machine compared to by hand.

My question is i have used the polisher with meguiars cristal polish and NXT wax and actually found very slightly less shine then before and now thinking i hope zaino is better.

is Zaino by hand better then a D.A polisher?

well...Zaino "fills" the swirl marks..... it contains no solvents. what is your mission here? to remove them? if so...that takes some pretty tricky buffing and a very skilled hand at it...and just the right stuff, or your clear coat will be toast?

my answer is yes,,..zaino by hand... no chance of clouding the clear coat... mulitple coats, its easy to do...and doesnt take that much time...

a buffer never touched this hood ...

I agree, you never want to use a DA unless it is the last resort... Layer up the Zaino and you'll be good to go.... Z5 is a killer product, and has been used on my GTO to remove the dealer swirls. Z6 in between layers and top off with Z2 and then final with Z6 Gloss Enhancer... Wipe on, Wipe off Danielson.....

      Hope this helps....

      Peace.

A buffer doesn't give the finish a shine. It removes small scratches and scuff marks, however, doesn't make the paint "pop". That's where a high-end polish like Zaino comes in. The only time you will want to buff your car is if you have several small scratches and scuffs, then follow it with a full Zaino application.
