one more question for you guys before i head off to school. for a couple hours. I gutted my cats, and i have emissions coming up in about a year. For my car all they will do is scan the computer. If i get o2 sims ( ive gutted my cats) will the scan read ok? And my unlce insisted the the car would have a little more power with the sims in the to. Is that true?

If everything is working properly, a scan will show up no problems when the cat is empty & you have rear O2 simulators.

NO.... the sims will not increase power at all. They just fool the computer into thinking that the cats are working fine, by supplying a varying voltage back to the computer.... just as the O2 sensors would.

Remember... you MUST keep the forward O2 sensors functional.
