Depends on the exact size of the tires, and what wheels you mount them on, but most likely a 12.5" wide tire will not fit. Mickey Thompson doesn't make any 12.5" wide true slicks, but they do make a 28x12.5-15 ET Street. While you might just be able to squeeze its 12.6" section width into the wheel well, the 28.1" diameter requires some rework to the wheel openings. And, unless his T/A has one hell of an engine, 28" slicks are going to bog it right down.

I've run a 28x11.5-15 Hoosier QTP - required light hammering of inner fenders and moving the axle back 1/4" to keep the tires from hitting the metal edge at the front of the wheel opening when trap speeds reached 125MPH. Currently running a 28x10.5-15W and that required taking about 1.5" off the leading edge of the rear bumper cover. And those slicks appears to be almost too much for my car. I run an 800HP/800ft-lb nitrous setup, with a 5,000rpm flash converter and 4.11 gears. I think I should have stuck with the QTPs.
