i know this is never really easy or accurate but jsut for an idea

i ran a 14.3 last time at the track.
i was sitting on preddy bald tires

since then i changed the plugs, got 3 inch flowmaster exhaust, gutted my cat, got new yokohama dbs 255/45, and a 1800-2300 stall with a stage 2 shift kit completely rebuilt with corvete servo and all beefed up. how much time should i expect to drop and what should i expect to run in the quarter?

your saying i am only going to drop .3 in the quarter with the exhaust, stall, and plugss? and brand new wider and stickier tires?

they may be slightly wider but they are still street tires and its a flowmaster exaust not exactly the best flowing system out there. I'd say add some long tube headers and drag radials and say hello low 13's.

ya well, it is still a 3 inch pipe, and flowmaster may not be the best flowing but they must be good it is the most known exhaust company in the world. if its not good why do they sell so well? jsut a thought. either way my uncle got it for free from his company. the tires actaully get preddy soft once heated. they were 220 a piece, excellent handling tire and preddy grippy. yes radials would help but this way i will know what i run on the street. i would love to do some long tubes and will once moeny comes.

this is my plan.... drilled slotted rotors- found set of four for 209 from a ebay company, ceramic brake pads, either mac, pacesetter long tubes, or hookers, bmr weld on subframes, comp cam with like a 268 280 grind. drive car until engine goes. my brother has a extra LT1 i am goign to buy his and start builing a 383 stroker with lyod elliot heads. it will be a nitrous motor to run around 650 hp atleast. swap out torque converter for nitrous one. run 11's all day long on motor 10's on spray.

Of course its an improvment over stock but I was just saying that it isn't the best flowing exaust for our f-bodys but if it was free it doesnt get any better.

low 13s when i had pacesetter shorties, y pipe, cat, and magnaflow exaust and no shift kit, converter, or tranny cooler so now with long tubes, true duals, converter, shift kit, tranny cooler, and 275-40/17 nitto drag radials instead of the 245-50/16 ones i ran last time im hopeing for mid 12's

^ his cars a freak but its not uncommon for people to pick up almost 5 tenths and 5 mph from header and exaust install and with DR's and your stall it wouldnt be hard. The biggest thing holding your car back is gonna be no headers and no traction so get some long tubes and some dr's with LCA's.

With your mods you could be seeing mid 13's pretty easily, but if you were only running 14.3 before, I'm not sure the addition of those mods will drop you that much if nothing else changes. I think a .5 sec improvement is reasonable to expect if you can keep traction. I'd definately go for some suspension improvements next. What have your 60' times been like?
