    Hi Guys!

    I have a 1997 Z28 with 87K miles on the clock.

I have had a problem for the last 2 years of poping noise in the exhaust and uneven idle. It idles rough and is rich.

I just put in new Delphi 24lbs injectors and fuel pressure regulator. It now seems more responsive but idles richer and is sluggish around 1800-2200 rpms.
The tailpipes are blacker than they were.

Keep in mind I have had the poping in the exhaust for the last 2 years.

I have done all the following.....New Plugs and wires, New OptiSpark, New EGR Valve, New Map sensor, New IAT sensor, New Water pump.

I cleaned the Mass Airflow, throttle body and ( installe new gaskets).

THe only thing left is the Engine coolant Temperature Sensor and O2 sensors.
Would the O2 sensors make my car run bad and idle strange?

I checked for Vacuum leaks and I have found absolutely . I even checked around the Injectors using soapy water and seen nothing.

I wonder if the gaskets in the bottom of the Throttle body could make a vacuum leak I havn't changed those?

    Thanks Lee!

any place were a gasket meets can be a source. O2 really dont affect the way a car runs unless its comes off closed(?) loop into open loop(? not sure which way)
