  • Creeking Panhard Bar

    Hello,

I just replaced my panhard bar with another factory one after I got in an accident and bent my old one. I noticed it makes a creeking noise when I make Right turns or if I drive on bumpy surfaces, it has got so bad I hear it creeking just driving around on flat surfaces. I lubed the bolts down on both sides and lubed the bolts on the bar above it, dont know what thats called? The sound went away for a week now it came back and the sound is out of control!! I think the bolts might be to tight for factory torque specs could someone give me the factory specs? Any other ideas on what it could be would be very helpful.

    Thanks,
    Chris

How do you know it is the panhard bar or bushings?

I would make sure it's not your axle. My Bravada was doing the exact same thing you are describing. Ended up needing a new axle.

I have used Silicone grease it only helps for about a week or two. I know it's the panhard bar bushings because evrytime I grease the bolts with silicone grease or any other type of heavy grease the sound goes away. I don't think it could be anything with my axle although it did get smacked pretty hard in my accident.

If the noise comes back....there must be added stress coming from some where.

            Som'in sounds out'a wack....
