possible leaky head gasket

I took my 68 bird out yesterday and after I open it up I heard a poping noise which I thought it might have been a manifold gasket. When I got home I check it and the pop air feels like it coming from head gasket area (rear corner area). It isn't smoking so I think it's a external leak only. I was thinking of tempary using some JB weld over leaking area untill the winter. Then I will replace it.

Doe any have any other ideas or suggest?

My suggestion is to fix it correctly. JB weld won't do squat with what you are trying to do. It won't last any length of time in that application.
