I would listen to Raro Z28, your car has the big ticket item on it all ready the s/c but you need the other stuff right to complement it well. I notice that alot of the cars comming out this year have alot more HP then b4 but your car done right should smoke most if thats what you want. After 10k I had a ton of problems and I love my car but I seriously thought of selling it but after alot of $$ in repairs its alot better and I look back at the time where I thought about selling it as stupid
I think f-bodys have a unique look that is apart from anything else out there most other cars have lines that are shared with alot of other cars. At the varry least get it dino'ed at a good shop they could even tell you what you need to get it to wake up. Thats not alot of money and at the varry least give you a little more umph to get more cash if you truely want to sell it.
I always here that after you sell your f-body is when you miss it the most.

Well I put the sc in. I did two months of research, talked to about five people who have one, and put them on. It is installed correctly thank you. I cannot use the low slung K&N filter. I had that. It sucks up rainwater. I have to drive this car everyday, rain or shine. I modified my whisper lid, and I still had my Holley hole shot filter. It gets fresher air then all that hot air down below anyway.

If you want that supercharger to make the power it is supposed to you have to upgrade your intake system. All you are doing is handicapping the s/c by having it breath through the stock airbox. I don't know who told you that you would suck up rainwater with a K&N system but I believe almost everyone here who has one will tell you otherwise. I believe this was the topic of discussion pretty recently whether it was this board or one of the other F-Body forums I visit and the final verdict was that a cold air system can suck up water if you hit a puddle..... but the chances of it are very very slim unless you lowered your car to extreme levels.

Girl... throw a CAI on that thing along with a tune and wake that thing up!

Correct me if I am wrong boys but can't the stock air box and tubing collapse under the vaccuum created by the suction of a supercharger?

She probably doesn' thave enough boost to collapse the airbox, but if the K&N goes in the front wheelwell or some place like that on her V6, then even with an air scoop, it isn't going to suck up any significant rainwater even in a downpour. This is the setup that I have had for the last 5 years, and I've been thru some bad rain on the way to a couple of far away car shows.

Now, going thru a puddle can possibly destroy it, and if that's a concern (this IS Florida we're talking about) then she needs to be more conservative.
This guy I used to work for did $14,000 damage to a TT 300ZX by running it thru a puddle, but those hot ceramic blades in the turbo fragged when the water hit them and the particles got sucked into the engine before the electrical system died. She's got a boost gauge in there, and she is seeing boost, so it might not be that restricted as we think - that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be better with an unrestricted inlet, though.

While tht stock airbox can't be good, I think the root of her problems lies in the tune. The stock V6 was just never meant to be a performance vehicle, and it's not tuned for it. Getting a tune, opening up that intake and exhaust will do a wonder of good.

My sc setup slung the air filter even with the bottom of the radiator. It was even with the crank pully. Now if I'm wrong, please tell me, but I had to drive through water last week, and it did suck up water and killed my engine. I used intake hose made by powerdyne. The only thing stock about my airbox is the base. Everything else is different.
