Well i guess that means its not an urban legend....
but...
it may be an elaborate hoax to get some publicity. If the seller had a friend be the buyer then they could post the auction and have the other pay for it as soon as it soon as it is in EBAY's listings. For all we know that picture may have originally been a pic posted in a Lotus forum.
