  • Part Numbers - Good place to find?

Is there a place where you can find GM Part numbers for your car for items? I've been looking around gmpartsdirect.com and love their service -- but it appears you need to know the part number in order for them to locate a part.

In particular, in my case, I am trying to locate the part number for the Camaro LH Switch Panel. This is the switch assembly for the drivers door with the window controls, mirror adjustment and lock.

I feel your pain. I have found some at www.carparts.com . They sell GM parts so I look up something, get the GM part number, then go to gmpartsdirect. Don't tell car parts (JCWhitney's). I doubt they carry the headliner though. I hate that GMpartsdirect dowsn't have a better description if the part. Most of the time, it isn't even close.

If you want your own parts book and have broadband to get it, go to this link and right click to download one for the Camaro and also a zipped one for the Firebird. They are in pdf format and you may need to update your Acrobat Reader to view them.

Joe, thanks for posting that link to my list of part numbers.

BTW Thanks Shoebox for the part numbers you gave me. I went to the local dealer to order some new Jounce bumpers and the parts guy could not find them listed anywhere. I got ahold of YOUR parts list and took that part number back to him and up it popped. SHoulda seen the look on his face.
