It almost seems to good to be true, but has anyone got anything solid to tell me about the Mr. Clean Autodry system? Does it REALLY do what its suppose to do? Does the car dry itself well or is it all BS?

Well, yes and no. Lots of hype, a little fact....Water spots are caused by impurities in the water, and this product runs the rinse water through a PUR filter. This removes the impurities and lets the car dry without water spots. Most any quality water filter will do this as well. I have heard of folks who put inline filters in the hose to accomplish this. It does work, the car dries nice, however, I wouldn't use their soap for anything. I like the Zaino soap personally, although I am a complete convert now. Your mileage may vary... HTH

From what I have heard it works really good. The only downside is the cost of the filters. Apparently they run out fast.

I tried it and it does work as everyone says. However, as mentioned, the filters are not cheap and last a few washes, depending on the amount of minerals in your water. Also, in order to make sure it doesn't spot, you have to rinse down every inch in filtered water mode. So if you're a perfectionist, you'll take a while spraying it down with the filtered water. Not only does this take as much time as drying (almost), it also plugs up the filter more quickly. The upside is that you never have to touch your paint with any kind of towel after it's been washed.94 Black T/A GT, Advanced Induction 355, 3200 stall, built 4L60E, Moser 9", Baer Brakes, Shooting for 11s...

I've used it, but the problem with it is how little pressure you get with the rinse mode. It barely comes out because it has to pass through the filter. I use it for quick washings (with different soap, not theirs). For detailed washings, I just go the old route.SOLD: 2002 Trans Am WS.6 - Black on Black - 6 Speed
