Anybody get to see the new show that started last night on the speed channel? It is called pinks. I believe they had a lt-1 camaro run against a 2000 ls1 firebird. The camaro had slicks and a 250 shot of nos. The ls1 had a 50 shot of nos and drag radials. It was interesting once the camaro gave the ls1 a 8 car lenght start. Although, it was a shame to see the ls1 guy hand his keys over to the other racer. If you did not see it last night be sure to tune in for it next wednesday.

I saw it .. the show was ok ... the guy in charge is too much of a dork to be calling the shots. I feel bad for any of those guys that have to hand over the keys. It wouldn't make good TV but I would just hand them back. Kind of cool to see F-Bods start the season off

I saw it-the guy in charge was a dork. It would be a decent show if they got someone else to do it I don't think that guy with the Trans Am knew what he was getting in to-

Coming soon: A Firebird graphic opposite the Camaro graphic-

I agree that the guy was a dork as well. It was also awesome to see a camaro and firebird start off the season. I also agree that the guy in the formula did underestimate the camaro.

I caught it. I have been for SPEED to dig up a new show and I got to say I was dissappointed. It was really cool to spin it off with two F-body's but the "host" would not stop b!tch!ng. I mean I know they only have a 30 min. timeslip but all this....."I want you on the line in 20 secs.!" stuff is annoying in a T.V. show. Bad first impressions, but I'll stay tuned to see if it gets any better (or worse).

i saw it.... i was kinda dissapointed too pretty lame with the whole "hurry up" stuff but its a kool idea, ill still keep watching tho. i think it would have been better if the cars were a lil more evenly matched... the camaro was a race car and the other dude....that was like his daily driver lol poor guy i would have cried.

That Z28 was a 10 sec built up car

It's a cool premis of a show but I missed it. I did a search and Straightline Performance did it and advertizes it on there site. Poor guy with the LS1 but at least it shows the public that newer isn't always better....when the older is built up a bit at least

I just saw a rerun of the show today. I thought the concept is cool, but needs a major overhaul. I wasn't impressed with the host, as well. The biggest problem I see is not knowing what the opponent has/brings. Maybe when the previous winners get challenged, we know what they'll bring. However, the head starts make it no better than bracket racing (without breaking out though). Although it only makes things fair, why not screen the opponents first to make sure it's even...or close. This wasn't. And I want to see 2 guys run all out in all races. No "no spray this time" or "spray next time" garbage. Just run what you got.

They do need to put more evenly matched cars against each other. At least the same "type" of car - not a "daily driver" vs a race car.

I agree with you guys. I thought they would have ran two cars that were in a similar class. All the head start, no nitrous stuff etc. was pretty lame. Yeah and that host was getting on my nerves. I'll watch a couple more episodes and if dosen't get better I'll quit watching it. At least it's not another NASCAR show though .

Barely done up heads with stock valves
                        Stock unported intake
                        Stock Throttle Body
                        Headers
                        Cam
                        Fogger with a 250 shot
                        Converter
                        Stock trans with shift kit
                        Stock 10 bolt with a 3.73
                        Almost gutted interior
Best run on 10.48 on a 200 shot.

                        And here's the Formula:
                        3600 Vigilante Converter
NX MAF Kit jetted at 50hp
                        SLP Lid
                        Magnaflow Catback
                        Rear QA1 Shocks
                        Madman/BAD Z LCA's
Custom NX dry shot hitting 125hp
                        ET Street Drag Radials

Oh yea, it turns out that the winner sold the Formula back for $100. I knew the show was probably rigged. There's so much immature trash talking on ls1tech.com, it's not even worth looking at. Sad
