I just bought about 12 of old muscle cars and one is a 79 vette and it has a 454 in it. Did those come with the 454 in that year? Its a nice car.

Now on the flip side, my 79 L-82 4 speed was redone with 350 HP and a 4:10 gear. That car hauled butt! Probably the 2nd most fun driving vette that I owned.Comment

The Vette did not have a 454 since 1974. I had a 396 in '65 a 427 from 66 thru 69 and a 454 from '70 thru '74. I'm a Vette nut if you didn't notice!
