I've been reading about problems with those cars, this month in Hot Rod they have a article about the A arms cracking or breaking. They said Ford is milling them out of aluminum at 1200 bucks a piece the article is titled most expensive A arms or something like that.

The biggest problem Ford is facing, is the stiff competition from the new Z06. It's turning in performance numbers so close to the GT, the extra $80K could buy you two Z06's.

All that trouble because they skimped on a no-name brand alarm system. I bet that if he looked really close at the alarm unit, he would say "Bloody Hell . . . . That's not Lowjack . . . . it says Blowjack!"

That is kind of a bummer. I feel bad for that guy. The new GT(40) is an amazing car. I guess it is expected that there will be problems with a custom car like that. If you see one in person, they are absolutely stunning. I would love to take one out. Hopefully, Ford gets all of the wrinkles out. It seems kinda foolish to put a cr@py alarm like that into a six figure car.

I don't hear of too many Saleen S7's, Lambo's, or even Shelby Series having stupid problems like that... So I don't think building a "custom" car is an issue.

Yes, they are a stunning car to see and especially sit in.

Ford getting all the wrinkles out would be similar to asking Jerry Springer to not do a trashy TV show... It just won't happen.

Every "new" car has "rinkles". That said, a car that expensive shouldn't have an alarm problem for that kind of money. I realize being a GM based board due to the f-body, that like all good rivalries there will be a good jab back and forth about for or dodge, but I must say I have had many for vehicles, mustangs, trucks and even a SHO taurus (Kinda funny...SHO...), anyways I have had very few problems with any of the fords I have owned. To say they wont work out the rinkles is kinda short sighted. Many many "super cars" have stupid problems, go do a quick search, and you will see for isn the only one in the ultra expensive rolling trouble category.
